Yehualtepec

Yehualtepec is one of the 217 municipalities in the state of Puebla. It has an area of 170,000 square kilometers, putting on the location of the other 78 municipalities in the state.
Place names
Provine Yehualtepec name of yahualli Nahuatl meaning "circle roundness or" c tepetl which means "hill" meaning "on". Together meaning "In the roundness of the hill."
Geographic Location
Located in Puebla Mixtec, taking their geographical coordinates in parallel 18º 44'42 "and 18 ° 49'54" north latitude and the meridians 97º 18'36 "and 97º 33'00" west longitude. It is located 2,100 meters above sea level. It has an area of 170.95 km2. History
San Simon Yehualtepec, was also known as Hoaltepeque, Yehualtepeque, Guatepeque and Ezcatepec, was founded by Nahua groups in the preprehispanica time.
